Golden Globes Guesses

I've decided to quickly put together a list of who I think will win tonights Golden Globes. I've highlighted all my guesses. Unfortunately I haven't yet seen all the film's but I will be more prepared for the Oscars. Last year I saw most of the films up for major awards and it made watching the Oscars so much more enjoyable by having a clear idea of who I believed should win. I'm still excited about Hillary Swank...anyway back to the Golden Globes.

1. BEST MOTION PICTURE – DRAMA

   BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN (well deserved)

The next section is so difficult I Love Charlize Theron and ZIYI ZHANG but though I didn't see the film I think this actress is amazing and will probably win....

Hollywood Gossip

It's funny how much Hollywood Gossip consumes my day but I have to admit I enjoy it.  So on with the gossip and the facts.

ANGELINA IS PREGGERS FOR BRAD

It's funny how after all the relationship denials by both Brad and Angelina, how casually, "Yes, I'm pregnant" slipped from her lips. Then again she did say this to a charity aid worker not some Hollywood reporter...that Angelina always bucking the system. I won't lie I got a little excited when I heard the news, like they were friends of mine or something. Gosh I need to get a job...

But I have to say though I am a big fan of both gorgeous actors I must finally admit that Hollywood celebs really do move to fast. Fast forwarding through life, getting divorced, falling  in love, moving in together, and making babies in less time then it takes to get a drivers license. Maybe its the fact that they're to use to making 90 minute love stories. But us regular folks can't necessarily sit on our pedestals and snub our noses at them. We all know people who have girlfriend after girlfriend and move in new boyfriends after only weeks or months of knowing them. I don't agree with that kind of behavior especially when you have children at home who are sometimes put in danger by moving in lovers who are really strangers. But in the case of these two celebs I think they were destined to be together (maybe I'm just blinded by their beauty) and will continue to be great parents to their children and new baby. All they need to do is adopt a first nations and South American baby and I think they will be covered. Wow a Benetton ad in the making...

I do feel a little sorry for Jennifer Aniston though. It must be real tough watching these two just fall into a life together so easily. Normal human beings like their ex's to suffer a little not find possibly the loves of their lives . But then again Jennifer is young, good looking, and filthy rich...hmmm...movin on..

TYRA VERSUS NAOMI

Yes I have watched the TYRA show (more times then I care to mention) and I promise I won't do it anymore. The last straw for me was when Tyra brought on Naomi Campbell to discuss their turbulent past. I had looked forward to the show because I thought it would be an interesting juicy episode but I was disgusted by what I saw.

The list of annoyances that any sane person can find with Tyra is unfortunately numerous. Tyra who we all know believes she will be the next Oprah (we are all entitled to our delusions) has gone out of her way to present an  image of being completely open, easy going and generous.  It's also clear that Tyra has a "angel complex" and is desperately trying to promote her mothers career agenda along with hers. I can't put  my finger on my exact distaste for Tyra but I will say that Tyra comes across as staged, insincere, and rehearsed. And though she is gorgeous she is also boring and works to hard to impress a certain image of herself on to her young viewers. What makes people like Oprah successful is that they are naturally charismatic and have a deep well to draw from which helps them to connect with many different people on various levels.  No matter how Tyra tries she seems unable to really connect to her guests.

Back to the Supermodel versus Fashion Icon standoff. When Naomi graciously agreed to come on the show Tyra used the opportunity to personally lash out at Naomi and accuse her of all sorts of sabotage that Tyra (then self-righteously) refused to collaborate when asked by Naomi for proof. I could respect the fact that she refused to name the names of her alleged informers (because they had not given her permission to do so on air) but she should have saved her personal attacks towards Naomi for a more private arena (like off the cameras) if she didn't want to be completely forthright. If it was court of law Tyra's allegations could be seen as slander. It was clear Tyra believed everything she was saying but it was also clear Naomi felt ambushed. If you take Tyra's word for it Naomi was responsible for almost every low point in her fashion career, even stating that her side kick mom only began accompanying her to the shows because Tyra was afraid of Naomi's wrath. So can someone please explain to me why Tyra's mom is still always around...

Tyra who knows the media very well and Naomi's reputation just as well relished the opportunity to further her self driven image of herself by painting herself as the innocent naive victim and Naomi the relentless Tyrant. She repeatedly exaggerated the age difference between Naomi and herself constantly repeating, "I was only 17" in her pleading and nauseating voice. At one point Naomi obviously annoyed by this clarified she was only 21 at the time. Naomi acknowledged that Tyra was possibly right regarding some of her behavior but tried to convey to Tyra that they were both young women in a vicious competitive arena.

At Tyra's lowest point during the show she weirdly tried to connect herself with Naomi's mother. Tyra first mentions that Naomi's mother and herself share the same birthday.  Naomi agrees and tears began welling in her eyes. Tyra (now recognizing a time to reach out to Naomi like the saint she is) asked, "why does that make you cry"? Naomi explains that her mother is battling breast cancer. This answer was obviously not good enough for Tyra who then asks Naomi why she began crying specifically with that comment. Naomi tries to elaborate but Tyra quickly interrupts saying, "didn't you also say I look like your mother"? At first I didn't quite get where Tyra was going with this but then I caught on. Tyra seem to be insinuating that she had (in some subtle way) represented Naomi's mother and that was the reason why Naomi, who acknowledged wanting her mother to be with her at Fashion shows during those day like Tyra's mother,  felt the need to lash out a Tyra.  The show was a travesty and with the marvels of editing I can assure you Tyra made sure she came out smelling like roses.

Oh, Tyra just go back to looking hot and not speaking....that is until the next season of America's next top model. I should have forgotten this pathetic scene by then.

LL NOT COOL...

I recently heard that Lindsay Lohan would be taking over for the gorgeous Kate Moss in Versace or was it Louis Vuitton ads? Maybe Gucci...I don't know. But I couldn't believe it. That's like a fancy French restaurant serving fast food.

Please someone out there tell me I'm wrong. TELL ME I"M WRONG!
